WHO WE ARE

Hanuman: Back to Origins

The modern history of the Hanuman Water Deposit began in 2007 when, during a horseback ride, traditional knowledge and childhood memories — lived alongside his father and mother building access bridges to the old Caldas Velhas, today Rio Quente Resorts — led lawyer Uarian Ferreira to a remote and deeply impacted area in Chapada dos Veadeiros.
Amidst a landscape marked by human devastation — as revealed by images from 2012, showing degraded soil and scarce pasture —, he identified in a simple watering hole for cattle a hidden treasure: a legacy preserved by the Earth for over 9,000 years. This discovery not only unveiled the region’s potential but also became the starting point for a journey with a proposal for environmental regeneration and the valorization of this natural heritage.

Hanuman Minas Ltda was born from this journey, from the Hanuman Water Project. Today, Hanuman Minas Ltda holds 100% of 105 hectares of the area, fully reforested by the natural Cerrado biome with gallery forests, surface rights to the Hanuman Water Deposit also under the same ownership, with legal security backed by the National Mining Agency, according to mining process ANM 860.360/2017.

With an estimated annual exploitable water reserve (RExA) of approximately 3.77 million m³ per year, the first tubular well of the Hanuman Water Deposit was drilled in 2022, in the municipality of Niquelândia, 26 km from São Jorge. With a depth of 108 meters, the Well/Spring Hanuman I showed, in tests carried out by the National Mining Agency (ANM), a flow rate of 649 m³/hour. However, the suggested and authorized extraction rate was set at 95 m³/hour, operating for 14 hours daily – which corresponds to 1,330 m³ per day, or 485 thousand m³ per year.

The hydrochemical and official analyses by the Brazilian Geological Survey (LAMIN/CPRM/SGB), and scientific analyses carried out by geologists and professors from the Geosciences Institute of UnB (IG-UnB), revealed that the water emerging from the Water Deposit and Well/Spring Hanuman I is hyperthermal (42ºC), rich in minerals, alkaline pH (7.74 and 8.12), 9,270 years old (Carbon-14 dating), and extremely pure, proven by the absence of tritium, a nuclear marker of purity from the modern era. It has already been classified by the ANM as “Fluoridated Hyperthermal Mineral Water at the Source” and “suitable for bottling for human consumption by ingestion.”

The scientific nature of the knowledge with which this journey has been undertaken is revealed by the presence of the academic community in sharing the Project’s research, as seen in academic thesis and scientific publications, such as the article published by Elsevier (Jan/2022) in “Groundwater Sustainable And Development,” the most important scientific journal in the field of hydrogeology and groundwater. Titled “Hydrochemical and age constraints of the Chapada dos Veadeiros geothermal reservoir, central Brazil,” the international article reveals the origin, Carbon-14 dating, absence of tritium, the geological path in Chapada dos Veadeiros, up to its emergence at the Water Deposit, among other relevant information. Authored by geologist Tassiane Junqueira, and co-authored by professors (PhD) from the Geosciences Institute of UnB and the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of UFG, José Eloi Guimarães Campos, Marco Antônio Caçador Martins Ferreira, Flávio Henrique Freitas Silva, and Jeremie Garnier, the publication followed the geologist’s Master’s dissertation studies, which was approved with distinction by the Examining Board and received a Medal of Honor from UnB (Feb./2020).

Hanuman Minas Ltda was born from the land and from the journey of a deeply rooted family from the central western region of Brazil (Goiania city), with simple agricultural roots, intimately connected to the Cerrado biome, its waters, and the geography of Central Brazil.

As guardian of the mining and surface rights to the Hanuman Water Deposit property in Chapada dos Veadeiros, the project´s mission extends beyond exploration: it unites science, tradition, and innovation to transform an ancestral resource — Multimillennial Hyperthermal Multifunctional Tritium-Free Mineral Water — into a legacy of sustainability and global health.

Each project is guided by an unnegotiable commitment:

To generate shared value, preserve local ecosystems, and ensure that the unique potential of this water benefits both the community and those who believe in a more balanced future.

What are we doing as we face the encounter with this water?

In the era of regenerative economy, we are reinventing the relationship between natural resources and technology. With the Hanuman Water Token (HWT), we use blockchain to democratize access to this multimillennial water – where every drop carries over 9,000 years of history, and each token, a commitment to transparency, positive impact, and a multi-generational future.
