The Hanuman Water Token (HWT) was conceived within the principles of the New Economy – distributive, regenerative, and anchored in the real value of territories. The project is based on an essential physical asset – the multimillennial hyperthermal water from the Hanuman I Water Deposit and Well/Spring – and promotes integrated development with the populations and productive arrangements of Chapada dos Veadeiros.

The resources generated from the sale of the Hanuman Water Token (HWT) will enable the creation and structuring of the Hanuman Water Compensation System (SCCHH), an innovative mechanism that will directly support reforestation actions, spring restoration, water infrastructure, and socio-environmental education.

The SCCHH will also work to mitigate environmental impacts caused by the high consumption of plastic packaging in the mineral water sector. Local bottlers even claim that, in practice, they don’t sell water, but oil, given the dependence on plastic derivatives for distribution. In this sense, the SCCHH emerges as a regenerative and economic alternative, contributing systemic solutions to the mineral water value chain.

With this, the HWT aligns with the UN SDGs: Clean Water, Sanitation and Well-being, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Sustainable Industry and Innovation, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Life on Land.

A New Economy That Springs From Water

The economic proposal of the Hanuman Water Project emerges from the Cerrado Biome, rooted on earth and a vision in the future. It is a distributive, regenerative, and territory-rooted economy that transforms a rare rich water into shared value with the local community, respecting nature’s cycles.

Instead of merely exploiting, we seek to reintegrate: generate jobs, support small producers, encourage sustainable productive chains (cosmeceuticals, natural foods, therapeutic medical and ecological tourism), and create new forms of income with real backing — such as the Hanuman Water Token (HWT).

The potential of Chapada dos Veadeiros for the development of a therapeutic thermal tourism hub was officially recognized in Dispatch No. 226/2021, from the Superintendence of Mining of the Secretariat of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism of the State of Goiás, which mapped a polygon containing the three groups of thermal water deposits emerging from the São Joaquim Geological Fault, including the Hanuman Water Deposit.

Our model unites innovation, ancestry, and technology to promote an economy that cares for the earth and distributes its fruits with justice and consciousness.

CONCLUSION

The HWT, therefore, is more than a technological innovation: it is a new paradigm for mining and the use of natural resources, where the extraction of water is not an end in itself, but a means to regenerate the territory and redistribute value with socio-environmental justice.
